 Introduction
“Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. ”  Marketing and marketing communication skills are fundamental to both public and private institutions because they are the interfaces between any organization and its various publics  and customers, as it may applies. It therefore becomes necessary for all organizations to acquire new skills in marketing and marketing communications to lead the salvage team of their organizations from the current challenges to sustainable prosperous future.Â
It is the process of getting people interested in company’s product or service. This happens through market research, analysis, and understanding ideal customer’s interests. Marketing pertains to all aspects of a business, including product development, distribution methods, sales, and advertising. Sales fulfil the demand , while marketing creates a new demand or fits a product into an existing demand. Marketing focuses on moving the product from the company to the market (through product launches and awareness campaigns), while sales focuses on moving the product from the market to the customer.
The 5 P’s of marketing – Product, Price, Promotion, Place, and People- are a framework that helps guide marketing strategies and keep marketers focused on the right things. Participants shall be walked through the nitty-gritty of marketing, advertising and sales promotion to achieve
