Introduction

“Record keeping, documentation, and information management” refers to the practice of systematically creating, organizing, storing, retrieving, and disposing of documents and records within an organization, ensuring their accessibility and compliance with legal requirements by defining clear procedures for capturing, classifying, and managing information throughout its lifecycle. 

Record keeping and documentation requirements refer to the policies, procedures, and practices that organizations use to create, organize, store, and manage information. These requirements may be set by regulatory bodies or industry standards, or they may be established internally by the organization itself. Information management is the collection, storage, curation, dissemination, archiving and destruction of documents, images, drawings and other sources of information.
